Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently attended the One805LIVE! charity concert hosted by Kevin Costner at the actor‘s home in Carpinteria, California.

The Duchess of Sussex walked on stage with her husband to greet the crowd before the duke presented an award. The two have attended the event in the past, but this year social media erupted with some accusing Meghan of odd, “clingy” behavior with the prince as he spoke to those gathered.

Now, an expert is weighing in and sharing their take on Meghan’s demeanor as she stood alongside Harry.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”

The expert analyzed the photos and footage of the couple and offered his reason as to why the former Suits star was so touchy-feely.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “They [the Sussexes] clearly still share a very close bond. Meghan is especially supportive of Harry. She often touches his back or his elbow, showing her warmth and affection. They’re comfortable being tactile and aren’t afraid to display affection in public.

“It’s clear that their connection remains strong. Neither shows any signs of unhappiness, frustration, or anxiety. Instead, both display genuine microexpressions of happiness and joy — enjoying each other’s company, being out and about, and even interacting with the press.”
