Kanye West’s newest track details a disturbing experience from his childhood.

On Monday, the rapper known as Ye took to social media to share a snippet of his song “COUSINS,” which he says describes an incestuous encounter he had with a male relative as a child.

Kanye West opens up on latest track, ‘COUSINS’

“This song is called COUSINS,” Kanye said in an April 21 post on X, adding that new track is “about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore.”

The troubled hip-hop star went on to say that he had blamed himself for what had happened when he was a child.

“Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw,” he wrote. “My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different.”

In the track, West raps about “reenacting” the things he saw in the magazines, including performing a sex act on his cousin.

“People tell me take it to my grave/ ‘Truth will set you free someday/I don’t think they understand that I’m not attracted to a man,” ‘COUSINS’ continues.

West previously spoke briefly about his cousin during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2018.

“You know, in this world that we live in, there’s two main motivating forces … it’s love or fear. And you can’t explain love. You know, my cousin is locked up for murder. And I love him. He did a bad thing, but I still love him.

Kanye West, Bianca Censori recently seen together in Spain

West’s latest shocking social media post came not long after he was spotted on a dinner date with his wife Bianca Censori in Spain. The pair – who wed in December 2022 – were rumored to be estranged following his recent string of controversial statements and anti-semitic posts on social media.

A few weeks ago, West shared a track, “BIANCA,” from his album WW3, where he said that Censori had left him after she “tried to get me commited.”
