Ben Affleck agrees with his fellow Bat-actors that wearing Batman’s costumed sucks. While breaking down his acting career with GQ, Affleck looked back with terror at the long – and hot – days he spent as the Caped Crusader across a number of DC live-action movies. “I hated the batsuits,” he said. “The batsuits are horrendous to wear. They’re incredibly hot, for one thing. They don’t breathe. They’re made to look the way they want them to look, and there’s no thought put into the human being.” He continued about the heat trapped by the suit: “Now I’m already—I sweat, you know what I mean? I get hot. And so in that thing, you would just be pouring water because it’s got the cowl over it. Like, there’s one thing to wear the suit, but once you cover your head, I guess that’s where all your heat kind of escapes and you feel it.” Affleck played Batman a few times. He first appeared in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” before reprising his role in “Justice League” – which famously got a straight-to-Max Zach Snyde

Molly Ringwald doesn’t think “The Breakfast Club” should be get a remake. Instead, the ’80s icon would rather “see movies that are inspired by ‘The Breakfast Club,’ but take it in a different direction.” While speaking on the C2E2 panel “Don’t You Forget About Me: ‘The Breakfast Club’ 40th Anniversary Reunion” on April 12, Ringwald said about the 1985 movie, “I personally don’t believe in remaking that movie, because I think this movie is very much of its time,” she said. “It resonates with people today. I believe in making movies that are inspired by other movies but build on it and represent what’s going on today. This is very, you know, it’s very white, this movie. You don’t see a lot of different ethnicities. We don’t talk about gender. None of that. And I feel like that really doesn’t represent our world today.” The reunion panel brought the core five cast members back together for the first time since the film’s release 40 years prior. Alongside Ringwald was Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael

Delroy Lindo, who co-stars in Ryan Coogler’s new horror film “Sinners,” said it is unlikely that Prime Video’s “Anansi Boys” series, the Neil Gaiman adaptation in which he stars as the trickster god, will ever be released. The series was one of many Gaiman projects that were shelved or otherwise impacted after the fantasy author was accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, including his former live-in nanny. The series hasn’t officially been canceled by Amazon, but Lindo is skeptical it will “ever see the light of day” following the string of serious allegations against Gaiman. Another Gaiman-based Prime Video series, “Good Omens,” had its third season cut down to one 90-minute episode because of the allegations against the author. In speaking to EW, Lindo opted not to comment on the allegations, which Gaiman has repeatedly denied. But he told the outlet, “I don’t think that’ll ever see the light of day. It’s too bad on many levels, but I was really excited to do it.” He added, “Don’t count your chicken

Jimmy Kimmel had a field day Wednesday in response to a Wall Street Journal investigative report that Elon Musk has fathered “many mini-Musks” in an attempt to “seed the world in his own image.” But the late night host did not seem all that surprised by the revelations of the report — we already knew he loves babies. “I mean, he spent $300 million to get one elected president, he loves them so much,” Kimmel joked, getting a dig in at President Donald Trump. “Elon Musk is the subject of an investigative report into his harem of baby mamas,” the host began in his “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” monologue. “The Wall Street Journal of all places published a bonkers account of Musk’s efforts to seed the world in his own image. The story said he’s been using his social media platform to recruit women to carry his children, and then he buys their silence with multi-million dollar nondisclosure agreements. Who said romance is dead?” While the Journal reported that it is believed that the tech billionaire has fathered “at least

Netflix CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters addressed concerns over the Trump-imposed tariffs and a potential looming recession during the company’s first quarter earnings call, noting that as of right now they’re not seeing signs of any downturn in Netflix’s business. “We’re paying close attention to the consumer sentiment and where the broader economy is moving, but based on what we are seeing by actually operating the business right now, there’s nothing really significant to note,” Peters said. “Primary metrics and indicators would be our retention, that’s stable and strong. We haven’t seen any significant changes in plan mix or plan take rate, our most recent price changes have been in line with expectations – engagement remains strong and healthy, so things generally look stable from that lens.” Peters said that, stepping back, he took comfort in “the fact that entertainment has been pretty resilient in tougher economic times.” “Netflix specifically also has been quite resilient and we haven’t seen major i

In the back half of 2024, Max dominated the Samba TV Weekly Wrap streaming Top 10. Massive hits like “House of the Dragon” and “The Penguin” gave the streamer a grip on the top spot for months at a time. This week, we’re seeing signs of history repeating itself with a Top 10 that is frontloaded with the continued success of one Max series, the slow build buzz of another, and the season premiere of a hit that could top the chart for weeks to come. One week after its Season 3 finale aired, “The White Lotus” was once again the most-watched streaming program, topping the chart for the eighth consecutive week. Even with a huge same-day viewership for the April 6 finale, the series drew a catch-up crowd large enough to push it to the top. The other Max finale near the top of the chart belongs to “The Pitt.” The buzzy ER drama lands in third this week following its April 10 finale. It’s the highest placement for the show, which, unlike the aforementioned big hits, is a streaming-exclusive and doesn’t benefit from th
