Rajasthan Royals lost against Lucknow Super Giants by 2 runs

The Riyan Parag-led side were defeated by Rishabh Pant’s LSG in their previous match of the ongoing IPL season. The Rajasthan-based franchise failed to chase down the target of 181 runs.

RCA member has made match-fixing allegations against RR

Member of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) Jaideep Bihani has made match-fixing allegations against the Sanju Samson-led RR following their loss against LSG.

RCA member alleged that RR have kept them out of managing IPL 2025 matches

“The ad hoc committee has been appointed by the state government in Rajasthan. It has extended for a fifth time. We make sure all competitions take place without any issues. But then just as IPL came, the Zila Parishad (district council) took control of it. For IPL, the BCCI had first sent a letter to RCA only, not Zila Parishad. The excuse given by them and RR that we don’t have an MOU from Sawai Mansingh Stadium. If MOU is not there, so what? Aren’t you paying Zila Parishad for every match?” Bihani told News18 Rajasthan.

RR was previously banned from IPL for 2 years

The Rajasthan Royals were banned from participating in IPL by the BCCI for their involvement in the 2012 IPL spot-fixing case.

RR’s poor performance in IPL 2025

The Rajasthan-based franchise is currently placed on the 8th position on the IPL points table. They so far have only managed to secure 4 points out of their first 8 matches of the ongoing season.

RR will be without Samson in their upcoming clash against RCB

The Rajasthan-based franchise won’t be having regular skipper Sanju Samson in their playing XI for their match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 24. After sustaining an abdominal injury in his side’s clash against the Delhi Capitals, Samson is undergoing recovery at the team’s base and won’t be travelling to Bengaluru for RR’s next match.
