Alva Industries unveils new SlimTorq motor sizes (25mm, 85mm, 160mm) and a Hall-effect sensor upgradetaking precision motor performance to new heights.
Alva Industries, a leading innovator in frameless motor technology and the developer of FiberPrinting™, has announced a significant expansion of its SlimTorq™ series of slotless torque motors. The lineup now includes new diameter options of 25mm, 85mm, and 160mm, offering enhanced flexibility and performance for a broader range of high-precision applications.
Alongside the size extension, Alva has also introduced a new 3-phase Hall-effect sensor option, available across the full SlimTorq™ series. This sensor features open-drain output, a built-in 1.2kΩ pull-up resistor, and supports 5VDC supply voltage, making it an easy-to-integrate solution for systems requiring commutation, speed regulation, or position feedback.
SlimTorq™ motors are known for being the lightest and slimmest slotless torque motors on the market. Manufactured using Alva’s proprietary FiberPrinting™ technology, the motors feature ironless and slotless windings with an impressive 60% copper fill factor. This advanced design ensures superior torque density, precision, and thermal management while significantly reducing motor weight and space consumption.
