Parvej Husen Talukder, a 19-year-old young Bangladeshi, is widely known as a poet, children’s and teen author, writer, and internet entrepreneur. At a very young age—just 15—his rhymes and poems began to be published in various national and regional newspapers as well as popular literary magazines of Bangladesh.
He quickly gained recognition across the country and, eventually, his writings began to appear in Bengali-language publications abroad. One of the earliest recognitions of his work was the publication of his children’s poem titled “Bhorer Chhora” (Morning Rhymes) in Kishor Bangla, the first and historic magazine dedicated to Bengali teen literature.
Among the popular national newspapers that published his writings are Bhorer Kagoj, Alokito Bangladesh, Protidiner Sangbad, Khola Kagoj, Dainik Janakantha, and Prothom Alo’s Bondhusava. His works also appeared in Bangladesh’s state-owned publications like Bimonthly Betar Bangla, Monthly Nabarun, and Monthly Shishu.
He made his debut as a child journalist at the country’s first online news portal, bdnews24.com’s hello.bdnews24.com. Gradually, Parvej began writing beyond children’s and teen genres for his readers above the young adult level, and even contributed regularly to Anannya, the most popular women’s magazine in Bangladesh.
Alongside writing, he was active in editing literary magazines like Muktokathon, Alor Michil, and others. In 2020, after meeting the Head of the English Department at Government Nazrul College, Dhaka, he founded a global literary community named Kavya Kishor International.
Along with his deep devotion to Bengali literature, he also had a strong interest in technology. He created WikiGenius, Bangladesh’s first open wiki-based website. In 2022, he passed his SSC (Secondary School Certificate) from a village high school in Bangladesh. Later, in 2024, he founded Bhikitia, the first and only open encyclopedia in Bangladesh. That same year, he passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Sylhet Science and Technology College.
Currently, Parvej is a student of Computer Science and Engineering at Sylhet International University and is working on a Bengali web search engine project named Khujoweb.
Born on August 23, 2005, in the village of Jatichar, Sunamganj District, Parvej’s father is a General Practitioner (LMAF), and his mother is a homemaker. In 2021, he earned the title Sultan Rhymester of the Haor region, and in 2022, he received the Jagrata Sahitya Puraskar for his contributions to children’s literature. In 2023, he was included in the largest and most notable Bengali rhyme collection, Chorabarshiki, published by the government-run Bangladesh Shishu Academy.
He has published many Bengali books, including: Mojar Pora Chhondo Chhora (Funny Rhymes to Read), Chhorar Jhalak (Glimpses of Rhymes), Smritir Alponay Kavya (Poetry in the Sketch of Memories), and Chawa Na Chawa (Wants and Unwants), among others.
