Transaction Throughput Increased by 5x
One of the key upgrades Coinbase has implemented is the asynchronous processing of transactions on Solana. By adopting this approach, the exchange has increased block processing throughput by five times, significantly boosting the speed at which transactions are completed. This improvement is part of Coinbase’s ongoing effort to optimize transaction performance and provide faster transfer speeds for Solana users.
Asynchronous transaction processing allows transactions to be handled concurrently rather than sequentially, reducing the time required for block processing. This change is expected to result in much quicker transaction confirmation times for Solana transfers, addressing the delays some users experienced earlier this year.
